Sinopsis

Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi, media sosial, serta perubahan perilaku konsumen telah mengubah cara pelaku usaha membangun hubungan dengan pasar. Persaingan tidak lagi hanya ditentukan oleh kualitas produk semata, tetapi juga oleh kemampuan usaha dalam membangun pesan, menciptakan pengalaman, serta menjaga komunikasi yang konsisten dengan konsumen. Komunikasi pemasaran dipahami strategi penting dalam membangun brand, menciptakan nilai, dan mendorong keberlanjutan usaha. Sayangnya, masih banyak pelaku UMKM yang menjalankan aktivitas pemasaran secara spontan tanpa perencanaan komunikasi yang jelas. Konten dibuat tanpa arah, promosi dilakukan tanpa strategi, dan penggunaan media digital sering kali hanya mengikuti tren tanpa memahami tujuan komunikasi yang ingin dicapai.
Buku ini hadir menjembatani kebutuhan tersebut. Pembahasan dalam buku disusun dengan pendekatan akademik yang tetap mudah dipahami dan aplikatif bagi pelaku usaha. Setiap bab dirancang agar tidak hanya menjelaskan konsep-konsep dasar komunikasi pemasaran, tetapi juga memberikan gambaran praktis mengenai bagaimana strategi tersebut dapat diterapkan secara langsung dalam aktivitas UMKM sehari-hari.

Ina Primasari, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom., Universitas Sebelas Maret

Ina Primasari, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom. merupakan akademisi dan praktisi di bidang komunikasi yang berafiliasi dengan Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). Ia memiliki ketertarikan dan kepakaran pada bidang advertising, komunikasi strategis, hubungan masyarakat, branding, serta komunikasi pemasaran, khususnya dalam konteks pengembangan pesan, strategi promosi, dan komunikasi digital yang relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat serta dunia industri kreatif.

Ina menyelesaikan pendidikan Sarjana Ilmu Komunikasi (S.I.Kom.) dan Magister Ilmu Komunikasi (M.I.Kom.) di Universitas Sebelas Maret. Latar belakang akademik tersebut menjadi fondasi penting dalam pengembangan pemikirannya mengenai komunikasi sebagai praktik yang tidak hanya bersifat teoritis, tetapi juga aplikatif, strategis, dan dekat dengan kebutuhan publik.

Dalam aktivitas akademiknya, Ina aktif terlibat dalam kegiatan pengajaran, penelitian, pengembangan keilmuan, serta pendampingan mahasiswa. Perhatiannya terhadap dunia komunikasi tidak hanya berhenti pada ruang kelas, tetapi juga menjangkau praktik komunikasi yang lebih luas, terutama dalam membantu pelaku usaha, komunitas, dan masyarakat memahami pentingnya strategi komunikasi yang tepat, kreatif, dan adaptif.

Sebagai akademisi yang memiliki perhatian pada perkembangan komunikasi pemasaran digital, Ina Primasari menaruh minat besar pada bagaimana pesan, media, dan identitas merek dapat dikelola secara efektif untuk membangun kepercayaan konsumen. Ketertarikan tersebut sejalan dengan dinamika industri kreatif dan perkembangan UMKM yang semakin membutuhkan strategi komunikasi yang sederhana, terarah, namun tetap berdampak.

Pengalaman akademik dan praktis yang dimilikinya menjadi landasan penting dalam penyusunan buku ini. Melalui buku ini, Ina berupaya menghadirkan pemahaman mengenai strategi komunikasi pemasaran digital secara sistematis, mudah dipahami, dan aplikatif. Buku ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat bagi mahasiswa, pelaku UMKM, praktisi komunikasi, maupun masyarakat umum yang ingin memahami bagaimana komunikasi pemasaran dapat digunakan secara lebih efektif, kreatif, dan adaptif dalam membangun brand lokal yang dipercaya konsumen.

Prof. Dr. Widodo Muktiyo, S.E., M.Com, Universitas Sebelas Maret

Prof. Dr. Widodo Muktiyo, S.E., M.Com. lahir di Klaten pada 27 Februari 1964. Beliau merupakan salah satu tokoh penting dalam perkembangan ilmu komunikasi dan praktik kehumasan di Indonesia. Kiprahnya tidak hanya dikenal di lingkungan akademik, tetapi juga dalam ranah komunikasi publik, pengelolaan media, tata kelola kelembagaan, serta penguatan profesionalisme public relations di Indonesia.

Sebagai Guru Besar Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Widodo memiliki perjalanan intelektual yang kuat dan multidisipliner. Latar belakang pendidikannya mencakup Ilmu Komunikasi FISIP Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Ilmu Ekonomi Manajemen Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), serta program OATS/AOTS di Osaka, Jepang. Perpaduan keilmuan komunikasi, manajemen, dan pengalaman internasional tersebut membentuk cara pandangnya yang luas dalam membaca dinamika komunikasi, organisasi, media, dan masyarakat.

Dalam perjalanan pengabdiannya di UNS, Prof. Widodo telah menempati berbagai posisi strategis. Beliau pernah menjabat sebagai Ketua Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi UNS pada tahun 2008, Kepala Humas UNS, Wakil Rektor Bidang Perencanaan dan Kerja Sama UNS, serta Ketua Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) UNS. Berbagai amanah tersebut menunjukkan konsistensi beliau dalam membangun institusi, mengembangkan jejaring kerja sama, serta memperkuat peran perguruan tinggi dalam menjawab kebutuhan masyarakat.

Kiprah Prof. Widodo juga meluas ke tingkat nasional. Beliau pernah dipercaya sebagai Direktur Jenderal Informasi dan Komunikasi Publik Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika Republik Indonesia pada periode 2019–2021. Selanjutnya, beliau menjabat sebagai Staf Ahli Menteri Kominfo Bidang Komunikasi dan Media Massa pada periode 2021–2024, serta Staf Khusus Menteri Kominfo pada tahun 2024. Selain itu, Prof. Widodo juga pernah mengemban amanah sebagai Ketua Dewan Pengawas Perum LKBN Antara. Peran-peran tersebut memperlihatkan kontribusi beliau dalam memperkuat komunikasi publik, tata kelola informasi, serta penyebaran informasi yang kredibel bagi masyarakat.

Di bidang organisasi profesi, Prof. Widodo dikenal sebagai figur yang memiliki perhatian besar terhadap pengembangan kehumasan Indonesia. Beliau merupakan perintis Perhimpunan Hubungan Masyarakat Indonesia (Perhumas) di Solo dan pendiri Media Watch Surakarta (MWS). Dalam perjalanan organisasinya, beliau pernah menjadi Ketua BPC Perhumas Solo, Wakil Ketua Umum BPP Perhumas, anggota Dewan Kehormatan Perhumas, serta turut berkontribusi dalam penguatan sertifikasi profesi public relations melalui LSP Public Relations Indonesia.

Selain aktif dalam kepemimpinan akademik dan organisasi profesi, Prof. Widodo juga produktif dalam menulis dan mengembangkan gagasan. Beberapa karya buku yang pernah ditulisnya antara lain Pengantar Ilmu Komunikasi pada tahun 1992, Ekonomi Pembangunan pada tahun 1994, dan Bagaimana Cara Menjual dan Membangun Citra pada tahun 2004. Karya-karya tersebut mencerminkan perhatian beliau terhadap komunikasi, pembangunan, citra, dan strategi kelembagaan.

Sejak 20 Oktober 2025, Prof. Dr. Widodo Muktiyo resmi mengemban amanah sebagai Rektor Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia (UAI) periode 2025–2029. Dengan demikian, hingga tahun 2026, beliau menjabat sebagai Rektor Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia, sekaligus tetap dikenal sebagai Guru Besar Ilmu Komunikasi UNS dan tokoh komunikasi nasional. Melalui rekam jejak akademik, birokrasi, organisasi profesi, dan kepemimpinan kelembagaan yang panjang, Prof. Widodo menjadi sosok yang merepresentasikan perpaduan antara intelektualitas, pengalaman praktis, dan dedikasi terhadap kemajuan ilmu komunikasi di Indonesia.
