Synopsis

Apakah kita sedang merawat surga "pulau kecil", atau justru memacu kehancurannya?" Pulau-pulau kecil, permata di tengah samudra, menyimpan pesona keanekaragaman hayati dan kekayaan budaya yang tak tertanding. Namun, di balik daya pikatnya, wilayah insuler ini menghadapi dilema eksistensial: sebagai entitas geografis yang unik, ia juga menjadi titik paling rapuh di garis depan perubahan iklim dan tekanan pembangunan. Buku ini secara mendalam membedah "Paradoks Pulau Kecil"-sebuah kontradiksi fundamental di mana pariwisata, sebagai motor penggerak ekonomi utama, secara paradoks justru berpotensi merongrong fondasi ekologis yang menjadi daya tarik utamanya.

Mengapa Buku Ini Berbeda? Berbeda dengan kajian umum tentang pariwisata berkelanjutan, karya ini menawarkan perspektif analitis yang tajam dan aplikatif melalui integrasi dua instrumen kunci:

1. Jejak Ekologis (Ecological Footprint): Buku ini tidak hanya mengidentifikasi masalah, melainkan menyediakan metode kuantitatif untuk mengukur secara presisi ketidakseimbangan antara konsumsi sumber daya manusia dengan kapasitas regenerasi alamiah pulau. Ini memungkinkan pembaca memahami sejauh mana aktivitas kita telah melampaui "batas toleransi" lingkungan

2. Daya Dukung Komprehensif (Carrying Capacity): Melampaui definisi konvensional, buku ini mengembangkan model daya dukung yang holistik, tidak hanya mempertimbangkan aspek fisik, tetapi juga sosial, psikologis, dan ekonomi. Pendekatan ini esensial untuk merumuskan batas aktivitas pariwisata yang menjaga kualitas lingkungan dan kesejahteraan komunitas lokal secara berkelanjutan.

Author Biographies

Agus Romadhon, Universitas Trunodjoyo Madura

Dr. Agus Romadhon, S.P., M.Si. lahir di Bangkalan pada 27 Agustus 1976. Akademisi dan peneliti dan dosen tetap di Program Studi Ilmu Kelautan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Trunojoyo Madura sejak tahun 2004. Pendidikan jenjang tertinggi, yakni Doktoral (S3), diselesaikan di Program Studi Pengelolaan Sumberdaya Pesisir dan Laut, Institut Pertanian Bogor

Bidang Kepakaran dalam bidang Pengelolaan Wilayah Pesisir dan Pulau Kecil. Kepakaran mencakup analisis keberlanjutan lingkungan, yang secara spesifik berfokus pada: : 1) Daya Dukung Lingkungan / Carrying Capacity (Pengembangan model perhitungan daya dukung fisik, riil, dan efektif untuk ekosistem pulau kecil); 2) Jejak Ekologis / Ecological Footprint : (Evaluasi kritis penggunaan sumber daya alam untuk pengelolaan berkelanjutan); 3) Manajemen Ekowisata Bahari (Penilaian kesesuaian lahan dan strategi pengembangan wisata berbasis konservasi di wilayah pulau kecil); dan 4) Analisa Mengenai Dampak Lingkungan

Saat ini, fokus penelitian diarahkan pada integrasi aspek ekologi, sosial, dan ekonomi untuk pembangunan pulau-pulau kecil di Indonesia. Beberapa riset terbaru yang sedang dan telah dijalankannya meliputi : 1) Penilaian Risiko Ekologis (Ecological Risk Assessment): Studi risiko lingkungan untuk mendukung wisata berkelanjutan, dengan fokus lokasi pada pulau kecil; 2) Layanan Ekosistem Budaya (Cultural Ecosystem Services): Analisis status layanan ekosistem budaya untuk pengembangan wisata berbasis masyarakat; 3) Analisis Investasi Ekowisata: Kajian kelayakan investasi dan dampak ekonomi pengembangan destinasi wisata bahari terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat lokal. Melalui berbagai publikasi ilmiah, terus berkomitmen untuk menyediakan landasan saintifik bagi pengambil kebijakan dalam mengelola tantangan unik pembangunan di wilayah pesisir dan pulau kecil

Dyah Ayu Sulistyo Rini, Universitas Trunodjoyo Madura

Dyah Ayu Sulistyo Rini, S.Kel., M.T. lahir pada 13 November 1985 adalah seorang akademisi dan peneliti yang menjabat sebagai staf pengajar (dosen) pada Program Studi Ilmu Kelautan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Memiliki latar belakang pendidikan tinggi di bidang teknik, yakni Magister (S2 Program Studi Teknik Manajemen Pantai, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November, Surabaya), yang diintegrasikan dalam pengelolaan sumber daya kelautan dan pengembangan wilayah pesisir.

Memiliki kepakaran multidisiplin yang berfokus pada Manajemen Ekowisata Pulau Kecil. Keahlian spesifiknya meliputi: 1) Studi Kelayakan Investasi (Analisis aspek ekonomi dan lingkungan dalam pengembangan kawasan wisata berbasis konservasi di pulau kecil); 2) Pemberdayaan masyarakat pulau kecil untuk konservasi

Saat ini, fokus riset yang sedang ditekuni diarahkan pada pemberdayaan komoditas unggulan lokal Madura dan keberlanjutan ekosistem pesisir Beberapa lini riset utamanya mencakup: 1) Pengembangan Ekowisata Berkelanjutan: Mengkaji kesesuaian lahan dan daya dukung lingkungan untuk pembangunan destinasi wisata bahari di wilayah kepulauan, dan 2) Penilaian Human Development Index dengan fokus lokasi pulau kecil. Dedikasi riset mendapat dukungan berbagai skema pendanaan, termasuk hibah Penelitian Pemula dan Kolaborasi Nasional.

Maulinna Kusumo Wardhani, Universitas Trunodjoyo Madura

Dr. Maulinna Kusumo Wardhani, S.Kel., M.Si. lahir pada 15 Desember 1982 adalah staf pengajar di Program Studi Ilmu Kelautan, Jurusan Kelautan dan Perikanan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Trunojoyo Madura sejak tahun 2006 dan Program Magister, Pengeloaan Sumberdaya Alam dan Lingkungan (PSDA) Universitas Trunojoyo Madura sejak tahun 2024. Dalam kapasitas akademiknya, juga mengemban tanggung jawab sebagai Sekretaris Jurusan Kelautan dan Perikanan di Jurusan Kelautan dan Perikanan. Pendidikan jenjang tertinggi, yakni Doktoral (S3), diselesaikan di Program Studi Teknik Kelautan, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November, Surabaya

Bidang Kepakaran di bidang kelautan dengan fokus pada integrasi data teknologi untuk pengelolaan pesisir. Keahlian spesifik mencakup: 1) Optimasi Lahan Pesisir: Analisis pemanfaatan ruang untuk upaya konservasi, dan 2) Penginderaan Jauh: Pemanfaatan data satelit untuk pemetaan lingkungan dan analisis kerentanan wilayah pesisir. Penelitian yang dilakukan saat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat strategi perlindungan ekosistem laut melalui pendekatan scientific. Lini riset utama meliputi: 1) Konservasi Pesisir: Mengembangkan model optimasi lahan untuk mendukung keberlanjutan ekosistem; 2) Dinamika Perairan: Meneliti pola arus laut di wilayah-wilayah strategis guna memahami interaksi hidrodinamika perairan; dan 3) Studi Kerentanan: Mengkaji dampak potensial perubahan lingkungan terhadap kondisi fisik dan ekologis wilayah pesisir Indonesia. Melalui publikasi riset telah berkontribusi dalam menyediakan basis data teknis bagi pengelolaan sumber daya laut yang lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan
