Sinopsis

Di tengah kisis lingkungan dan erosi budaya lokal, kriya tidak lagi bisa hanya menjadi ekspresi estetika semata. Buku ini mengupas inovasi teknik, material, dan strategi produksi kriya yang berkelanjutan, memadukan tradisi, teknologi, dan tanggung jawab ekologis.

Melalui pendekatan interdisipliner, buku ini menyajikan analisis konseptual, eksplorasi material alternatif (biomaterial, limbah daur ulang), integrasi teknik tradisional-modern, serta model bisnis berbasis ekonomi sirkular. Studi kasus dari pelaku kriya Indonesia dan mancanegara memberikan panduan praktis untuk menciptakan karya yang restoratif—mampu memperbaiki ekosistem sosial-lingkungan.

Ditujukan untuk akademisi, mahasiswa, praktisi kriya, dan pembuat kebijakan, buku ini menjadi referensi teoritis sekaligus panduan aksi. Dengan mengutamakan prinsip cradle-to-cradle dan desain partisipatif, kriya diharapkan menjadi agen perubahan dalam gerakan keberlanjutan global.

Biografi Penulis

Niko Andeska, S.Sn., M.Sn, ISBI Aceh

Niko Andeska, S.Sn., M.Sn lahir di Bukittinggi pada 3 Oktober 1991. Ia merupakan anak kelima dari lima bersaudara, putra dari pasangan Bapak Sudarisman dan Ibu Ismayati. Ia menempuh pendidikan di Institut Seni Indonesia Padangpanjang, tempat ia meraih gelar Sarjana dan Magister Seni dengan fokus pada seni Kriya.

Saat ini, Niko aktif mengajar di Program Studi Kriya Seni, ISBI Aceh. Ia telah memimpin dan terlibat dalam berbagai penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat yang berfokus pada pelestarian ragam hias tradisional Aceh, serta aktif mempublikasikan hasil kajiannya di jurnal nasional. Niko turut berkontribusi dalam pengembangan ekosistem riset dan penciptaan seni di Indonesia. Ia juga penerima sejumlah hibah penelitian.

Rahmawati, S.Sn., M.Sn lahir di Agam 25 Mei 1991. Ia merupakan anak kedua dari tiga bersaudara, putri dari pasangan Bapak Zainil Afri dan Ibu Zetri Marni. Ia menempuh pendidikan di Institut Seni Indonesia Padangpanjang, tempat ia meraih gelar Sarjana dan Magister Seni dengan fokus pada seni Kriya.

Saat ini ia aktif mengajar di Program Studi Kriya Seni ISBI Aceh. Ia juga terlibat dalam berbagai penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat yang berfokus pada pelestarian ragam hias tradisional Aceh, serta aktif mempublikasikan hasil kajiannya di jurnal nasional,juga penerima sejumlah hibah penelitian.

Anni Kholilah, S.Sn., M.Sn, lahir di Roburan Lombang pada tanggal 25 Mai 1989 merupakan anak pertama dari lima bersaudara, putri dari pasangan Bapak Zulkhoir Lubis dan Mahyar Diana Rangkuti. Ia menempuh pendidikan di Institut Seni Indonesia Padangpanjang, tempat ia meraih gelar Sarjana dan Magister Seni dengan fokus pada seni murni. Saat ini, Anni aktif mengajar di Program Studi Seni Rupa Murni, ISBI Aceh. Ia telah memimpin dan terlibat dalam berbagai penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat yang berfokus pada bidang seni rupa, serta aktif mempublikasikan hasil kajiannya di jurnal nasional dan pemegang banyak HKI atas karya seninya. Anni turut berkontribusi dalam pengembangan eko sistem riset dan penciptaan seni rupa di Indonesia. Ia juga penerima sejumlah hibah pengabdian dan juga selalu aktif berbagai pameran seni rupa baik nasional maupun internasional.
