Sinopsis

Buku Kingdom Communication karya Edwin, M.Pd., M.Pd.K. dan Dr. Josiharu Edmund Franky, M.Th. merupakan sebuah panduan teologis dan praktis dalam memahami serta menerapkan prinsip-prinsip komunikasi yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Kerajaan Allah. Buku ini menekankan bahwa komunikasi bukan sekadar alat untuk menyampaikan pesan, tetapi juga merupakan sarana transformasi yang mampu membawa perubahan dalam kehidupan pribadi, keluarga, gereja, dan masyarakat luas. Dengan mengacu pada ajaran Yesus Kristus, para nabi, serta rasul seperti Paulus, buku ini menguraikan bagaimana komunikasi dapat menjadi jalan untuk mewujudkan kasih, keadilan, dan rekonsiliasi dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan.

Dalam buku ini, penulis mengajak pembaca untuk memahami bahwa komunikasi dalam perspektif Kerajaan Allah haruslah mencerminkan kasih dan kebenaran. Sebagai bagian dari kehidupan spiritual, komunikasi tidak hanya bersifat interpersonal tetapi juga menjadi media interaksi antara manusia dengan Tuhan melalui doa, penyembahan, dan refleksi terhadap firman-Nya. Konsep Kerajaan Allah menjadi dasar utama yang dibahas di awal buku, di mana kehadiran dan pemerintahan Allah dalam kehidupan manusia diwujudkan melalui komunikasi yang membawa damai dan sukacita. Selain itu, komunikasi juga dipandang sebagai sarana untuk membangun harmoni di tengah komunitas iman, di mana setiap individu dipanggil untuk menjadi alat kasih dan kebenaran.

Melalui berbagai contoh dari Alkitab, buku ini menggambarkan bagaimana komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh Yesus Kristus menjadi model utama dalam menyampaikan kebenaran dengan hikmat, kasih, dan ketegasan. Khotbah di Bukit, percakapan-Nya dengan para murid, serta cara-Nya menghadapi tantangan dari orang-orang Farisi menjadi ilustrasi nyata tentang pentingnya komunikasi yang efektif, relevan, dan berdampak. Selain itu, surat-surat Paulus kepada jemaat juga menunjukkan bagaimana komunikasi dapat menjadi alat untuk membangun iman, mengoreksi kesalahan, dan menumbuhkan kehidupan rohani yang lebih dalam. Buku ini juga membahas berbagai hambatan komunikasi yang sering kali muncul, seperti dosa, keegoisan, kesalahpahaman, serta ketidaksediaan untuk mendengarkan, yang semuanya dapat merusak hubungan dan memecah belah komunitas.

Untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut, penulis menekankan pentingnya menerapkan prinsip-prinsip komunikasi yang didasarkan pada buah Roh Kudus, sebagaimana tertulis dalam Galatia 5:22-23. Kasih, sukacita, damai sejahtera, kesabaran, kemurahan, kebaikan, kesetiaan, kelemahlembutan, dan penguasaan diri menjadi elemen penting yang harus tercermin dalam setiap bentuk komunikasi, baik dalam keluarga, lingkungan gereja, maupun dalam kehidupan sosial. Selain itu, doa dan perenungan terhadap firman Tuhan juga ditekankan sebagai sarana utama dalam mencari hikmat dan bimbingan Allah agar komunikasi yang dilakukan tidak hanya efektif tetapi juga mencerminkan nilai-nilai spiritual yang mendalam.

Buku ini tidak hanya memberikan pemahaman teoretis tentang komunikasi dalam konteks iman Kristen, tetapi juga menyajikan prinsip-prinsip praktis yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan pendekatan yang mendalam dan reflektif, Kingdom Communication menjadi sumber inspirasi bagi setiap orang percaya yang ingin mengembangkan komunikasi yang lebih bermakna, membangun hubungan yang lebih harmonis, serta membawa perubahan positif dalam lingkungannya. Buku ini mengajarkan bahwa komunikasi yang selaras dengan nilai-nilai Kerajaan Allah tidak hanya menyampaikan pesan, tetapi juga menghadirkan kasih, kedamaian, dan kebenaran yang dapat mengubah kehidupan banyak orang.

Biografi Penulis

Edwin, M.Pd., M.Pd.K., STT Kingdom Bali

Edwin, M.Pd., M.Pd.K., lahir di Brajayekti, 29 Agustus 1975, menikah dengan Dewi Dyah Lestariati, S.Pd. Aud. dan dikarunia tiga anak bernama Clarissia Lovevrani, Karen Amasia Lovevrani dan Joshua Timothy Lovevrano. Memiliki ketertarikan yang mendalam tentang Pendidikan Kristen dan Metodologi Penelitian.

Oleh anugerah Tuhan, pada tahun 1998 boleh menyelesaikan pendidikan Bahasa Inggris di Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. Pada tahun 2008 menyelesaikan pendidikan di program Pascasarjana Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha Singaraja dengan Program Studi Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan. Pada tahun 2012 menyelesaikan Pendidikan Agama Kristen di Program Pascasarjana Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Kingdom Bali.

Keterlibatan dalam Pendidikan Kristen telah dimulai sejak bergabung dengan Sekolah Tunas Daud Denpasar pada tahun 2004. Pendidikan non-gelar yang dilaksanakan oleh Association of Christian School International (ACSI) juga telah banyak merubah paradigma pendidikan yang ada di dalam dirinya. Dan dari sejak saat itu sampai hari ini, penulis terus belajar untuk mengenal konsep pendidikan yang ada di dalam Alkitab dan mengambil bagian dalam perluasan Kerajaan Allah melalui jalur pendidikan. Saat ini, penulis aktif sebagai pengajar di Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Kingdom Bali sebagai pengampu mata kuliah Metodologi Penelitian dan Pembimbing Pendidikan Agama Kristen.

Dr. Ir. Josiharu Edmund Franky, M.Th., CBC., lahir di Surabaya 11 Juni 1971, biasa di panggil Jeffrey Here untuk kalangan keluarga, sahabat dan lingkungan sekitar, memiliki ketertarikan yang mendalam dalam bidang Komunikasi, Teologi Kepemimpinan, Behavior People & Konseling.

Dengan berkat Tuhan, penulis berhasil menyelesaikan pendidikan Teknik Mesin di Universitas UNTAG Surabaya pada tahun 1998. Kemudian, pada tahun 2010, memperoleh Certifite Behavior Cosultan di Power Charcter. Tak berhenti sampai di situ, pada tahun 2012, ia menyelesaikan Pendidikan Teologi di Program Pascasarjana Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Kingdom Bali. Di tahun 2022 menyeselesaikan Bethel Biblical Counseling Academy yang fokus pada bidang Konseling, berkat anugrah Tuhan di tahun 2023 dapat menyelesaikan program doktoral di STAK Teruna Bhakti Yogyakarta.

Keterlibatan penulis dalam Pendidikan Kristen dimulai pada tahun 20012 ketika bergabung dengan Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Kingdom Denpasar. Dan menjadi Dosen tetap dan di tahun 2014 dengan di keluarkan tanda kelulusan Sertifikasi Pendidik untuk Dosen dan dinyatakan sebagai Dosen Profesional dalam rumpun/bidang Teologi. Di STT Kingdom Bali dalam Struktural STT Kingdom penulis juga sebagai Waket 3 bidang Kemahasiswaan dan dalam pelayanan Jemaat penulis juga sebagai Gembala GBI Rock Denpasar Timur (REC: Rock East City).

Saat ini penulis memiliki istri bernama Artha Juliana, S.Th, M.PdK, penulis memiliki 2 anak yang terdiri dari putra sulung Yesaya Abednegro Cressendo Here saat ini kuliah di STT Kingdom Bali dan putri Joycelline Uli Harmony Here saat ini memilih karir dalam dunia kerja, Puji Tuhan orang tua penulis masi diberikan kekuatan oleh Tuhan Yesus,di berusia 80 yang menjadi inspirasi penulis berkarya bernama Ibu Christina Sofia Dimu Here, S.Th, M.Th.
