Sinopsis

Di era Antroposen ini, ketika aktivitas manusia telah menjadi kekuatan geologis yang dominan mempengaruhi sistem Bumi, peran lingkungan kerja dalam membentuk masa depan yang berkelanjutan menjadi semakin krusial. Kantor, sebagai pusat aktivitas ekonomi dan kreativitas manusia, memiliki potensi besar untuk menjadi katalis perubahan menuju masyarakat yang lebih berkelanjutan. Namun, realitas ruang urban yang semakin padat dan mahal menuntut solusi yang tidak hanya berkelanjutan, tetapi juga kompak dan efisien.

Model Green Office Kompak yang disajikan dalam buku ini lahir dari urgensi untuk merekonseptualisasi ruang kerja dalam konteks tantangan lingkungan dan sosial abad ke-21. Inspirasi awalnya berasal dari konsep “Small is Beautiful” yang dipopulerkan oleh ekonom E.F. Schumacher, yang menekankan kebijaksanaan dalam skala dan efisiensi. Model ini mengadaptasi prinsip tersebut ke dalam realitas kontemporer, di mana teknologi digital dan desain cerdas memungkinkan optimalisasi yang sebelumnya tidak terbayangkan.

Buku ini menawarkan panduan komprehensif untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang tidak hanya ramah lingkungan, tetapi juga mendukung kesehatan, produktivitas, dan kesejahteraan penggunanya. Melalui sepuluh bab inti, buku ini mengeksplorasi berbagai aspek kritis dari green office, mulai dari kualitas udara dan pencahayaan hingga efisiensi energi dan manajemen limbah. Setiap bab didasarkan pada kajian terkini dan praktik terbaik global, menyajikan solusi yang divalidasi secara ilmiah dan dapat diterapkan secara praktis. Buku ini ditujukan untuk berbagai kalangan—dari arsitek dan desainer interior hingga manajer fasilitas dan pemimpin organisasi. Bagi akademisi, buku ini menyajikan kerangka konseptual yang kaya untuk eksplorasi lebih lanjut dalam bidang desain berkelanjutan dan manajemen lingkungan kerja. Bagi praktisi, ia menawarkan panduan praktis dan strategi implementasi yang dapat segera diterapkan.

Harapannya, model Green Office Kompak ini akan menginspirasi dan memberdayakan pembaca untuk mentransformasi ruang kerja mereka menjadi lingkungan yang lebih berkelanjutan dan berpusat pada manusia. Lebih dari sekadar buku panduan, karya ini merupakan undangan untuk berdialog dan berkolaborasi dalam upaya kolektif kita untuk menciptakan masa depan yang lebih baik.
