Sinopsis

Buku Desain Penelitian Kedokteran dan Kesehatan ini disusun sebagai upaya untuk memberikan landasan konseptual dan metodologis yang komprehensif bagi mahasiswa dan akademisi di bidang kedokteran dan kesehatan dalam memahami serta merancang penelitian ilmiah yang sistematis, valid, dan bermakna. Di tengah dinamika perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan tuntutan praktik berbasis bukti, pemahaman yang kuat mengenai desain penelitian menjadi aspek fundamental yang tidak dapat diabaikan.

Melalui buku ini, penulis berharap pembaca tidak hanya memperoleh pemahaman teoritis mengenai berbagai desain penelitian, tetapi juga terdorong untuk mengembangkan cara berpikir kritis, analitis, dan reflektif dalam merancang serta mengevaluasi penelitian di bidang kedokteran dan kesehatan. Setiap bab disusun untuk memantik rasa ingin tahu, memperkuat nalar ilmiah, serta membekali pembaca dengan perangkat metodologis yang diperlukan untuk menghasilkan penelitian yang berkualitas dan berdampak.

Biografi Penulis

Prof. Dr. Drs. H. Kusmardi, M.Sc., CIRR, Universitas Indonesia

Prof. Dr. Drs. H. Kusmardi, M.Sc., CIRR adalah Guru Besar Tetap di Fakultas Kedokteran, Universitas Indonesia. Sekarang adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Doktor Ilmu Dakwah di Fakultas Ilmu Agama Islam, Universitas Islam Asy-Syafi’iyah Jakarta. Pendidikan Doktor sebelumnya ditempuh di Program Doktor Ilmu Biomedik FKUI Jakarta dan Program Doktor Ilmu Biomedis Hewan IPB Bogor. Program Magister di FKUI, Program S1 di Biologi FMIPA UI. Pernah Belajar Biologi Molekular di Melborne University. SD sampai SMA di kota kelahirannya, Sumenep, Madura. Bidang penelitian utamanya meliputi kanker kolorektal dan kanker payudara, dengan penekanan khusus pada eksplorasi potensi efek penghambatan berbagai obat alami Indonesia terhadap karsinogenesis pada kedua jenis kanker tersebut. Penelitiannya juga melibatkan identifikasi jaringan normal versus perkembangan kanker menggunakan penanda molekuler dan model komputasional. Selain itu, ia telah menulis beberapa buku, diantaranya: The Mouse Model for Breast Cancer; The Mouse Model for Colorectal Cancer; Lunasin: A Soybean Polypeptide as a Chemopreventive Adjuvant for Colon Cancer; dan Pembuatan Antibodi Poliklonal, Peristiwa Ilmiah yang telah Dijelaskan dalam Al-Qur’an, serta Manusia dan Semesta yang telah Dijelaskan dalam Al-Qur’an. Selama ini beliau sudah menghasilkan seratus lebih publikasi internasional bereputasi terindeks Scopus, puluhan hak kekayaan intelektual. Saat ini Prof. Kusmardi menjadi dosen home base di Program Studi Doktor Ilmu Biomedik FKUI, selain dosen tetap di Prodi Magister Ilmu Biomedik, Prodi Dokter Spesialis Patologi Anatomik, dan Prodi Pendidikan Dokter FKUI. Beliau secara aktif menjadi Reviewer internal hibah UI dan Reviewer Nasional Proposal Hibah Kemendiktisaintek, Auditor Internal Akademik UI, PIC QA Drug Development Research Center IMERI FKUI, Cancer drug discovery coordinator di Human Cancer Research Center IMERI FKUI, tim penjamin mutu akademik Program Doktor Ilmu Kedokteran FKUI, serta sebagai Asesor LAM-PTKes divisi Kedokteran. Untuk mempertajam khasanah pengetahuannya, beliau juga menjadi Ketua Dewan Redaksi Majalah Patologi Indonesia, serta aktif menjadi reviewer tetap pada beberapa jurnal internasional terindeks scopus Q1. Kemampuan mengenalkan statistik diperoleh sejak mengajar statistic di prodi S1, Spesialis, dan S3 sejak lama.

Dr. Andi Muh. Maulana, S.Si., M.Sc., PAK adalah akademisi dan peneliti di bidang ilmu biomedik dengan kepakaran pada anatomi manusia. Beliau menyelesaikan pendidikan doktor pada Program Doktor Ilmu Biomedik FKUI Jakarta, dengan latar riset di bidang onkologi.

Pendidikan magister ditempuh pada Program Studi Ilmu Kedokteran Dasar dan Biomedis FK UGM Yogyakarta, dengan peminatan Anatomi Manusia, sedangkan pendidikan sarjana diselesaikan pada Program Studi Biologi, Universitas Negeri Makassar.

Saat ini, Dr. Andi Muh. Maulana mengabdi sebagai staf akademik di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Beliau menjabat sebagai Ketua Departemen Anatomi serta Ketua Unit Penelitian, Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, dan Publikasi FK UMP. Dalam peran tersebut, beliau aktif mengoordinasikan pengembangan kegiatan akademik, penelitian, dan publikasi ilmiah di lingkungan fakultas.

Dalam kegiatan pendidikan, beliau mengampu mata kuliah Anatomi serta Metodologi Riset Kedokteran, dengan penekanan pada pemahaman desain studi, pemilihan uji statistik yang tepat, validitas dan reliabilitas data, serta interpretasi hasil penelitian secara kritis dan bertanggung jawab. Pendekatan pengajaran yang dikembangkan menempatkan metodologi dan analisis data sebagai fondasi utama dalam praktik kedokteran berbasis bukti.

Minat keilmuan dan penelitian beliau mencakup bidang onkologi serta eksplorasi potensi bahan alam sebagai agen penghambatan kanker, khususnya kanker payudara. Selain itu, beliau juga berperan sebagai reviewer jurnal internasional bereputasi, terutama untuk naskah yang berkaitan dengan onkologi, biomedik, patologi, serta pengembangan kandidat terapi berbasis bahan alam.
