Sinopsis

Penyakit kardiovaskular masih menjadi penyebab utama kematian dan disabilitas di dunia, termasuk di Indonesia, dengan beban yang semakin nyata pada kelompok usia produktif. Seiring dengan perubahan pola kerja dan gaya hidup modern, perilaku sedentari yang ditandai dengan waktu duduk yang panjang dan minim aktivitas fisik, muncul sebagai determinan risiko kesehatan yang penting namun sering terabaikan. Buku ini mengulas secara komprehensif hubungan perilaku sedentari dengan penyakit kardiovaskular, dengan fokus khusus pada populasi pekerja.

Buku ini menyajikan sintesis ilmiah berbasis bukti epidemiologis, mekanisme biologis, serta analisis data nasional dan global untuk menjelaskan bagaimana perilaku sedentari berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan risiko penyakit jantung dan pembuluh darah. Pembahasan diperluas hingga mencakup perbedaan risiko berdasarkan jenis kelamin, usia, dan jenis pekerjaan, serta identifikasi kelompok pekerja berisiko tinggi.

Selain menguraikan masalah, buku ini juga menawarkan pendekatan solutif melalui strategi pencegahan dan intervensi di tempat kerja, program promosi kesehatan, peran kebijakan pemerintah dan institusi, serta pemanfaatan teknologi dan inovasi digital. Analisis kebijakan dan rekomendasi yang disajikan bersifat aplikatif dan kontekstual, sehingga relevan bagi pengambil kebijakan, pengelola institusi, dan praktisi kesehatan.

Ditujukan bagi akademisi, peneliti, praktisi kesehatan masyarakat, serta pembuat kebijakan, buku ini diharapkan menjadi rujukan strategis dalam upaya pencegahan penyakit kardiovaskular melalui pengendalian perilaku sedentari. Dengan pendekatan promotif–preventif dan berbasis bukti, buku ini menegaskan pentingnya transformasi lingkungan kerja menuju lingkungan yang lebih aktif, sehat, dan berkelanjutan

Biografi Penulis

Harvina Sawitri, S.K.M., M.K.M.,, Universitas Malikussaleh

Harvina Sawitri, S.K.M., M.K.M., adalah dosen Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Malikussaleh dengan latar belakang pendidikan Sarjana dan Magister Kesehatan Masyarakat dari Universitas Indonesia. Memiliki pengalaman akademik dalam pengajaran, penelitian, dan pengabdian masyarakat khususnya di bidang kesehatan masyarakat, epidemiologi, perilaku kesehatan,

dan kesehatan kerja. Mata kuliah yang diampu meliputi Metodologi Penelitian dan Biostatistika, Ilmu Kedokteran Dasar dan Profesi, serta Kesehatan Masyarakat. Dalam kariernya, penulis aktif menghasilkan karya ilmiah melalui publikasi di jurnal nasional terakreditasi dan prosiding internasional, berpartisipasi sebagai pemakalah seminar ilmiah, serta menerbitkan buku akademik dan memperoleh HKI atas karya penelitian. Penulis juga terlibat dalam berbagai program pengabdian kepada masyarakat dan kegiatan peningkatan kapasitas akademik di tingkat institusi. Dengan komitmen pada penguatan riset dan pendidikan, penulis berfokus pada isu kesehatan publik, termasuk pencegahan penyakit tidak menular, kesehatan lingkungan, dan promosi kesehatan di tempat kerja.
