Synopsis

Latar belakang penulisan buku Etnografi Komunikasi: Nuansa Komunikasi dalam Ranah Budaya dan Kearifan Lokal ini berangkat dari kebutuhan untuk memperdalam pemahaman tentang etnografi komunikasi sebagai pendekatan yang kaya akan konteks budaya dan sosial. Melalui buku ini, penulis ingin menyajikan gambaran komprehensif mengenai konsep, metodologi, dan aplikasi etnografi komunikasi dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat, khususnya dalam konteks Indonesia yang kaya akan kearifan lokal.

Tujuan utama dari penulisan buku ini adalah untuk memberikan referensi yang mudah dipahami bagi mahasiswa, peneliti, dan praktisi komunikasi serta antropologi yang ingin mendalami studi etnografi komunikasi secara mendalam. Ruang lingkup materi mencakup teori dasar, metodologi, serta studi kasus yang relevan, sehingga dapat memperkaya wawasan pembaca tentang praktik komunikasi dalam berbagai komunitas dan budaya. Saya berharap buku ini dapat menjadi sumber belajar yang bermanfaat dan mendorong pengembangan studi etnografi komunikasi di Indonesia dan dunia

Author Biographies

Dr. Ibrahim Chalid, S.Sos., M.Si.

Dosen tetap Program Studi Antropologi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik. Universitas Malikussaleh.  Lhokseumawe Aceh. 

Penulis lahir di Beureunuen kota kecil di Pidie Aceh. Pada tanggal 9 Septerber 1972. Masa kecil hidup di tanah Gayo, Menyelesaikan pendidikan S1 pada Jurusan Antropologi Fisip , Universitas Sumatera Utara tahuan 2000,   melanjutkan S2 pada Jurusan  Antropologi Sosial Universitas Negeri Medan selasai tahun 2011 dan menyelesaikan S3 di Ilmu Sosial Fisip Universitas Airlangga Surabaya pada tahun 2019. Ketika mahasiswa Ibrahim Chalid terlibat aktif dalam berbagai gerakan mahasiswa terutama pada gerakan reformasi tahun 1998, aktif dalam aktivitas kemanusiaan, mendirikan beberapa lembaga swadaya masyarakat seperti Kontas Medan, YPRP (yayasan Pembela Rakyat Pinggiran) dan (MATA) lembaga Anti Korupsi.

Selama berkarier sebagai dosen Ibrahim Chalid telah mempblikasikan beberapa karya ilmiah diantaraya Modal Sosial dan Reduksi Kemiskinan Nelayan, Konvergensi Dalam Upaya Pencegahan Stunting di Kabupaten Bireun.  Transmigrasi: Dari Deferensiasi Menuju Kohesi Sosial, Etnografi Pemasaran, Gang Leumo: Pengetahuan Masyarakat Aceh di Seputaran Pasar Hewan. Antropologi Kependudukan dan lain-lain.

Penulis lahir di Kuning Aceh Tenggara Aceh. Pada tanggal 21 Maret  1976. Masa kecil hidup di tanah Alas , Menyelesaikan pendidikan S1 pada Jurusan Ilmu Komunikasi Fisip , Universitas Sumatera Utara tahuan 2000,   melanjutkan S2 pada Jurusan  Ilmu Komunikasi  Universitas Gajah Mada tahun 2014. Ketika mahasiswa (S1) Harinawati terlibat aktif dalam berbagai gerakan mahasiswa terutama pada gerakan reformasi tahun 1998, aktif dalam aktivitas kemanusiaan konflik dan tsunami Aceh, mendirikan beberapa lembaga swadaya masyarakat IPMAT (Ikatan Mahaiswa Aceh Tenggara) Medan, Assufah (kelompok Studi Perempuan Muslim Medan LSM Anak Negeri (Aceh).
