Pasien Atau Konsumen Kesehatan? Pergeseran Relasi Dalam Pelayanan Kesehatan di Indonesia merupakan sebuah buku yang membahas bagaimana interaksi antara tenaga kesehatan dan masyarakat di Indonesia mengalami pergeseran dari relasi paternalistik “penyedia–pasien” menuju pola baru “penyedia–konsumen kesehatan” yang relatif lebih partisipatif. Dengan menelusuri kasus-kasus malapraktik, dinamika historis sejak masa kolonial hingga reformasi, serta dampak kebijakan Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional, penulis menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat kini tidak sepenuhnya pasif dalam mengakses pelayanan kesehatan. Terdapat pergeseran pola yang ditandai karena masyarakat mulai memiliki kapasitas agensi yang menjadi penanda pergeseran relasi dalam penyelenggaraan pelayanan kesehatan. Akan tetapi, pergeseran tersebut tidak selalu linear, melainkan dipengaruhi konteks sosial, politik, ekonomi, dan teknologi. Kondisi pergeseran relasi tersebut menghadirkan perlu menjadi perhatian karena berdampak munculnya tantangan baru bagi peningkatan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan di Indonesia.
