Synopsis

Kanker serviks hingga saat ini masih menjadi salah satu penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas pada perempuan, terutama di negara berkembang. Selama beberapa dekade, kajian mengenai kanker serviks lebih banyak difokuskan pada infeksi Human Papillomavirus sebagai faktor etiologi utama. Namun, bukti ilmiah mutakhir menunjukkan bahwa faktor lingkungan dan perilaku, termasuk paparan asap rokok, memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam memodulasi sistem imun, mempercepat proses karsinogenesis, serta memperberat perjalanan penyakit. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman yang komprehensif dan integratif mengenai hubungan antara rokok, sistem imun, dan kanker serviks menjadi sangat penting.
Buku ini disusun dengan pendekatan multidisipliner yang menggabungkan aspek biomedis, imunologi, epidemiologi, kebijakan kesehatan, teknologi, hingga pendekatan promotif dan preventif berbasis komunitas. Setiap bab dirancang secara sistematis untuk membawa pembaca dari pemahaman konseptual dasar hingga pada aplikasi praktis dan refleksi kritis. Pembahasan dimulai dari pengenalan rokok dan paparan asap rokok, dampaknya terhadap metabolisme dan sistem imun, hingga implikasinya terhadap patofisiologi kanker serviks. Selain itu, buku ini juga mengulas perkembangan teknologi skrining, pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan, serta peran strategis edukasi, media, komunitas, dan keluarga dalam upaya pencegahan kanker serviks.
Penulisan buku ini didasarkan pada telaah literatur ilmiah terkini dan sumber-sumber kredibel, sehingga diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi akademik yang dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Buku ini ditujukan bagi dosen, mahasiswa program sarjana dan pascasarjana, peneliti, tenaga kesehatan, serta para pemangku kebijakan yang memiliki perhatian terhadap isu pengendalian tembakau dan pencegahan kanker serviks.

Author Biography

Abrori, Universitas Islam Sultan Agung (Unissula) Semarang

Abrori, atau akrab disapa Kang Abror, lahir di Kabupaten Brebes pada 14 April. Ia merupakan mahasiswa Program Doktor Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat (DIKM) Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) Semarang dan pengajar pada Bagian Ilmu Kesehatan Masyarakat Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Sultan Agung (Unissula) Semarang. Ia menyelesaikan pendidikan Magister di Program Studi Promosi Kesehatan dengan konsentrasi Kesehatan Reproduksi, HIV dan AIDS di Universitas Diponegoro, serta pendidikan Sarjana di Universitas Negeri Semarang.

Sejak masa kuliah S1, ia aktif di dunia pers mahasiswa dan pernah magang di media profesional. Pengalaman tersebut menumbuhkan kepeduliannya dalam menggunakan informasi yang tepat dan berperspektif hak untuk meningkatkan kesadaran kesehatan di masyarakat.

Keterlibatannya dalam pengembangan sumber daya manusia serta advokasi di bidang kesehatan masyarakat terwujud melalui berbagai aktivitas di Kalimantan Barat dan Jawa Tengah. Ia pernah mengajar di Stikara Sintang, Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak, menjadi Dosen Tamu di Universitas Tanjungpura, serta berkontribusi bersama sejumlah kampus lainnya. Dalam isu HIV dan AIDS, ia terlibat di Komisi Penanggulangan AIDS Jawa Tengah (2008–2012) dalam program Harm Reduction yang didukung HCPI–Ausaids. Sebelumnya, ia berkiprah di LSM Griya ASA PKBI Kota Semarang (2000–2008) dalam pendampingan populasi berisiko tinggi melalui program Aksi Stop AIDS yang didukung FHI–USAID. Ia juga terlibat dalam kegiatan pendampingan buruh di Yayasan Wahyu Sosial, serta berperan dalam Komite Independen Pemantau Pemilu Kota Semarang.

Di ranah literasi dan komunikasi kesehatan, Kang Abror aktif menulis dan berbagi perspektif di berbagai media, seperti Tribun Jawa Tengah, Suara Merdeka, Wawasan Semarang, Jawa Pos Radar Semarang, Psikologis Plus, Kapuas Post Sintang, Pontianak Post, hingga platform media nasional lainnya. Ia juga kerap memberikan edukasi kesehatan reproduksi di sekolah, kampus, dan radio. Ketertarikan riset dan pengabdian masyarakat Kang Abror berpijak pada beberapa fokus utama, yang seluruhnya bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup dan kesehatan komunitas:

·         Promosi Kesehatan dan Ilmu Perilaku: Melakukan kajian dan intervensi yang berorientasi pada perubahan perilaku kesehatan di masyarakat.

·         Kesehatan Reproduksi, Pencegahan, dan Pengendalian: Fokus pada Isu Kesehatan Reproduksi, serta upaya Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Infeksi Menular Seksual (IMS), HIV, dan AIDS.

·         Edukasi Kelompok Rentan: Memberikan Edukasi Reproduksi yang spesifik dan relevan kepada kelompok rentan, kelompok risiko tinggi, dan remaja.

·         Media dan Komunikasi Kesehatan: Mengembangkan strategi melalui Media Promosi Kesehatan, Digital Literasi Kesehatan Masyarakat, Pemasaran Sosial, dan Komunikasi Kesehatan untuk menyebarkan informasi kesehatan secara efektif.

Dalam ranah pengajaran, Kang Abror pernah mengampu mata kuliah yang selaras dengan fokus risetnya, yakni: Promosi Kesehatan; Sosiologi Antropologi Kesehatan; Digital Literasi dan Penulisan Ilmiah

Bagi Kang Abror, penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat bukan hanya upaya mengembangkan pengetahuan ilmiah, tetapi juga sarana untuk memperjuangkan martabat manusia dalam mengakses layanan kesehatan secara setara dan berperspektif hak. Ia menyampaikan terima kasih kepada Pipiet serta dua putra-putrinya, Rafa dan Tazya, yang menjadi inspirasi dalam setiap langkahnya.
