Synopsis

Buku ini mengupas hubungan antara teknologi kecerdasan buatan dan praktik komunikasi modern dengan perspektif etika yang mendalam. Dalam dunia yang dipenuhi AI, pesan dan informasi dapat disampaikan secara lebih cepat, luas, dan personal, namun risiko distorsi, manipulasi, dan misinformasi juga meningkat. Buku ini menekankan pentingnya prinsip-prinsip etika—kejujuran, transparansi, keadilan, empati dan tanggung jawab—sebagai pondasi komunikasi yang bertanggung jawab.
Melalui delapan bab, buku ini membahas mulai dari pemahaman dasar AI, peran dan tantangan komunikasi manusia dengan AI, keamanan informasi, literasi digital, hingga regulasi dan pembangunan ekosistem komunikasi yang etis. Setiap bab menekankan keseimbangan antara teknologi dan nilai kemanusiaan, serta memberikan panduan praktis bagi individu, institusi, dan pembuat kebijakan untuk menghadapi dilema moral di era digital.
Buku ini ditujukan bagi akademisi, praktisi komunikasi, pengembang teknologi, maupun masyarakat luas yang ingin memahami bagaimana teknologi dan etika berinteraksi, serta bagaimana membangun komunikasi yang bertanggung jawab di tengah kemajuan AI. Dengan bahasa populer-ilmiah, buku ini mengajak pembaca untuk tidak hanya menjadi pengguna teknologi, tetapi juga pengelola informasi yang etis, kritis dan berdaya guna bagi masyarakat.

Author Biography

Deddy Satria M, Universitas Malikussaleh

Deddy Satria M, S.Sos., M.Si, lahir dan besar di kota Matangglumpangdua, Aceh. Pendidikan S1 Ilmu Komunikasi diraih dari Universitas Islam Bandung (Unisba) pada tahun 2000 dan menyelesaikan pendidikan S2 Ilmu Komunikasi di Universitas Indonesia pada tahun 2009.

Penulis buku ini berprofesi sebagai dosen tetap di Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Universitas Malikussaleh sejak tahun 2003. Pernah menjabat sebagai Ketua Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi periode tahun 2003-2006 dan tahun 2012-2014.

Selama berkarir sebagai dosen telah menghasilkan karya ilmiah yang dimuat pada jurnal nasional dan jurnal internasional. Adapun beberapa buku yang sudah diterbitkan dengan judul Pengantar Manajemen Komunikasi (2020), Persepsi Pengunjung Kedai Kopi Pada Berita Covid-19 di Era New Normal (2021), Komunikasi Dalam Pembelajaran Daring di Masa Pandemi (2022) Komunikasi Digital (2025).

Selain aktif sebagai dosen juga tercatat sebagai anggota ASPIKOM Wilayah Provinsi Aceh dan pernah menjadi anggota Panwaslu Kabupaten Bireuen pada Pemilu tahun 2014. Untuk korespondensi dapat dihubungi melalui email: [email protected].
