Synopsis

Dalam kehidupan politik kontemporer, komunikasi tidak lagi sekadar sarana penyampaian pesan, melainkan telah menjadi elemen strategis yang memengaruhi pembentukan opini publik, legitimasi kekuasaan, serta arah kebijakan dalam masyarakat. Melalui media massa, media sosial, pidato politik, kampanye, hingga berbagai simbol politik, pesan-pesan politik terus diproduksi, disebarkan, dan ditafsirkan oleh publik. Oleh karena itu, memahami komunikasi politik menjadi penting agar masyarakat tidak hanya menjadi penerima pesan secara pasif, tetapi juga mampu menilai, menganalisis, dan memahami bagaimana pesan tersebut dibangun serta tujuan yang melatarbelakanginya.

Buku ini dirancang terutama sebagai bahan ajar bagi mahasiswa ilmu komunikasi, namun juga diharapkan bermanfaat bagi praktisi komunikasi, pengamat politik, maupun masyarakat umum yang tertarik memahami proses komunikasi dalam dunia politik. Materi dalam buku ini disusun secara bertahap mulai dari konsep dasar komunikasi politik, teori efek media, aktor-aktor dalam komunikasi politik, peran media massa dan media baru, analisis pesan politik, hingga isu-isu kontemporer seperti disinformasi, hoaks, serta komunikasi krisis politik. Dengan pendekatan ini, pembaca diharapkan dapat melihat komunikasi politik tidak hanya sebagai praktik persuasif, tetapi juga sebagai fenomena sosial yang kompleks yang memengaruhi kualitas demokrasi dan kehidupan publik.

Author Biography

Andi Budi Sulistijanto, Universitas Ciputra Surabaya

KPH. DR. H. Andi Budi Sulistijanto, S.H., M.Ikom., CIQaR, CIQnR merupakan penulis buku COMMUNICATION AND ORGANIZATION THEPTY yang menjelaskan tentang Perspektif kritis, modern, dan Poastmodern di era poscritical menempuh Pendidikan, dimulai dari SDN DR.Soetomo II Surabaya lulus tahun 1983, dilanjutkan di SMPN 25 Surabaya lulus tahun 1986, kemudian penulis menyelesaikan Pendidikan di SMAN 2 Surabaya yang lulus tahun 1989 hingga mengikuti perkuliahan S.1 Fakultas Hukum di Universitas Airlangga Surabaya tahun 1995.

Tak sampai disitu, penulis, Kembali melanjutkan pendidikannya di Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta hingga mendapat predikat S2 Cumlaude Magister Ilmu Komunikasi tahun 2013, kemudian penulis melanjutkan Pendidikan di Universitas Sahid Jakarta hingga berhasil mendapatkan gelar S3 Cumlaude Doktoral Ilmu Komunikasi tahun 2017, dan sejak tahun 2022 penulis sedang menyelesaikan P.hD di Universitas Utara Malaysia.

Selain buku COMMUNICATION AND ORGANIZATION THEPTY, penulis juga telah berhasil menyelesaikan beberapa buku sebelumnya, diantara berjudul: KOMUNIKASI POLITIK JOKOWI, POLITIK KERJA JOKOWI dan PRABOWO SUBIANTO: MENDAYUNG PERAHU MENGGAPAI ISTANA.

Penulis selain tekun di dunia akademis, juga dikenal aktif di dunia sosial budaya Masyarakat hingga dipercaya menduduki jabatan bergengsi di setiap organisasi, diantara, sejak taun 2018 hingga sekarang, penulis dipecaya menjadi bendahara Umum Asosiasi Peneliti Kualitatif, tahun 2020 hingga sekarang dipercaya sebagai ketua Yayasan Forum Indonesia Maju Berbudaya, Tahun 2021 hingga sekarang dipercaya sebagai Sekretaris Jenderal DPP IRMLA.

Selain itu, penulis sejak tahun 2021 hingga sekarang juga menjabat sebagai Komisaris PT.Paku Mas Indonesia, dan sejak tahun 2022 hingga sekarang, penulis dipecaya sebagai Ketua Yayasan Forum Doktor Komunikasi Indonesia serta sejak tahun 2022 hingga sekarang menjabat sebagai dewan Pembina redaksi media cetak dan harian online suarakpk.

Pada tahun yang sama, 2022 hingga sekarang penulis juga menjabat sebagai Pembina Gerakan Generasi Pancasila.

Tahun 2023 hingga sekarang, penulis resmi menjadi dosen tetap FIKOM Universitas Ciputra Surabaya dan tahun 2025 hingga sekarang, penulis dipercaya sebagai komisaris PT Citra Waspphutowa.
