Synopsis

Di tengah krisis etika global dan meningkatnya kompleksitas politik kontemporer, dunia membutuhkan lebih dari sekadar manajer kekuasaan; dunia membutuhkan pemimpin yang memiliki integritas transendental. Namun, bagaimana seorang pemimpin Kristen dapat menyeimbangkan panggilan imannya dengan tuntutan negara yang sekuler dan pluralistik tanpa terjebak dalam eksklusivisme.
Buku ini hadir sebagai jawaban komprehensif atas tantangan tersebut. Dengan menggali kekayaan teologis dari tradisi Gereja Mula-mula, Reformasi, hingga pemikiran Neo-Calvinisme, penulis menyintesiskan sebuah teori baru tentang Kepemimpinan Transformatif Kristen. Buku ini melampaui sekadar retika moralistik dengan menawarkan kerangka kerja operasional yang mempertemukan konsep Servant Leadership (Kepemimpinan Pelayan) dengan aksi nyata dalam kebijakan publik.

Author Biography

Semuel Linggi Topayung, Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Injili Arastamar jakarta

Dr. Semuel Linggi Topayung, M.A.P., lahir di Toraja pada tanggal 15 Januari 1979. Semuel dikenal sebagai sosok yang aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan organisasi dan profesional. Dengan latar belakang yang kuat, ia telah berkontribusi dalam berbagai bidang, baik sosial, pendidikan, maupun pemerintahan. Pengalaman dan dedikasinya menjadikannya figur yang dihormati di lingkungannya. Ia menjabat sebagai Ketua Umum Lembaga Pendamping Pembangunan Nasional (LPPN), sebuah lembaga yang berfokus pada pembangunan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Selain itu, sejak tahun 2015 hingga sekarang, ia bekerja sebagai konsultan di beberapa kementerian. Perannya sebagai konsultan telah membantunya memahami dinamika kebijakan nasional secara mendalam. Keahliannya sangat dibutuhkan dalam merancang program-program pembangunan. Hal ini menunjukkan kompetensinya dalam sektor pemerintahan dan pembangunan.

Pada tahun 2018 hingga 2024, Semuel menjabat sebagai Sekretaris Jenderal Tim Relawan Kasih Jokowi. Ini merupakan komunitas Kristen tingkat nasional yang mendukung Presiden Jokowi. Perannya menunjukkan komitmen dan loyalitasnya dalam mendukung pemerintahan yang berjalan. Ia berhasil membangun jaringan nasional di kalangan masyarakat Kristen Indonesia. Keberadaannya memperkuat solidaritas antar komunitas dalam bingkai kebangsaan. Di dunia pendidikan, ia adalah dosen tetap pascasarjana S-2 di STT Setia Jakarta. Perannya dalam dunia akademik menunjukkan dedikasinya terhadap pendidikan tinggi. Ia dipercaya mendidik generasi baru pemimpin Kristen Indonesia. Selain mengajar, ia juga aktif membimbing mahasiswa dalam riset dan pengembangan ilmu. Dan rajin menulis beberapa buku dan beberapa artikel, yang bisa di lihat di link Semuel Linggi Topayung Google Scholar Ini menunjukkan bahwa Semuel tak hanya aktif di lapangan, tapi juga memiliki peran intelektual. Semuel juga menjabat sebagai Koordinator Komunitas Kristen Seluruh Indonesia. Tugas ini menunjukkan perannya sebagai jembatan antar umat Kristen dari berbagai daerah, dan bahkan pada Tahun 2023 beliau terpilih menjadi 21 Tokoh Kristiani Inspiratif 2022 dari Majallah Kristen Narwastu. Ia juga pernah menjadi Direktur Instrument Survey Indonesia (ISI) dari tahun 2015 hingga 2018. Dalam posisi tersebut, ia terlibat dalam berbagai penelitian dan survei nasional. Hal ini membuktikan kepakarannya dalam analisis sosial dan statistik. Pengalaman lainnya termasuk menjadi konsultan Bank Dunia pada tahun 2009 hingga 2011. Ia juga pernah menjadi konsultan Program PNP Mandiri di Kementerian Dalam Negeri pada tahun 2006–2007. Di masa muda, ia aktif dalam organisasi kemahasiswaan sebagai Ketua Bidang Pendidikan Kader dan Kerohanian GMKI Cabang Tondano (2000–2002). Semua pengalaman tersebut membentuk karakter dan kapabilitasnya sebagai pemimpin nasional. Semuel Linggi Topayung adalah sosok dengan dedikasi tinggi dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat dan negara.
