Buku ini lahir dari kegelisahan sekaligus harapan terhadap arah pendidikan di era yang ditandai oleh percepatan teknologi, intensitas distraksi digital, dan perubahan sosial yang berlangsung begitu cepat. Di tengah situasi tersebut, muncul kebutuhan mendesak untuk menghadirkan pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih sadar, lebih manusiawi, dan lebih berkelanjutan. Mindful Learning, sebagaimana dipaparkan dalam buku ini, menawarkan fondasi baru untuk memahami kembali hakikat belajar sebagai proses membangun perhatian, ketenangan, refleksi, dan kebijaksanaan.
Penyusunan buku ini berangkat dari pemahaman bahwa tantangan belajar pada abad ke-21 tidak dapat diselesaikan dengan strategi kognitif semata. Ledakan informasi, tekanan multitasking, perubahan kurikulum, hingga integrasi kecerdasan buatan telah menciptakan kondisi yang mempengaruhi cara peserta didik memusatkan perhatian, mengelola emosi, dan memaknai pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, buku ini berupaya menghadirkan pendekatan yang menyatukan perspektif psikologi kognitif, neurosains, pedagogi, serta nilai-nilai humanistik. Setiap bab disusun tidak hanya untuk menghadirkan teori dan hasil penelitian mutakhir, tetapi juga memberikan panduan praktis, kerangka implementasi, dan ruang refleksi bagi pendidik, siswa, dan pembaca umum.
Dengan menghadirkan konsep-konsep seperti regulasi diri, pembelajaran reflektif, mindful teaching, hingga integrasi mindfulness dalam kurikulum dan teknologi, buku ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan komprehensif bagi mereka yang ingin memperkuat kualitas pembelajaran di tengah disrupsi digital. Lebih dari itu, buku ini mengajak pembaca untuk melihat pendidikan sebagai proses pembentukan manusia secara utuh—yang mencakup aspek kognitif, afektif, sosial, spiritual, dan ekologis. Mindful Learning memberi kita ruang untuk kembali menegaskan bahwa pendidikan sejatinya adalah perjalanan kesadaran, bukan sekadar akumulasi informasi.
